Mother accidentally fatally strikes 2-year-old daughter with car in Philadelphia's Crescentville section, police say
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A mother accidentally struck and killed her 2-year-old daughter while she was trying to park in Philadelphia's Crescentville section on Wednesday, police said.
The incident happened on the 200 block of Comly Street at around 5:30 p.m.
Police said the 31-year-old mother took her daughter inside the house and went back to park her car. But she didn't realize the child followed her outside.
As she parked her car, the 31-year-old fatally struck her 2-year-old daughter, according to police. The 2-year-old was taken to Einstein Hospital and pronounced dead.
The incident is under investigation.
