Philadelphia City Councils Passes $5.8 Billion Operating Budget For 2022-23

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia's City Council on Thursday passed a new budget.

The council voted on a series of bills Thursday making up the budget.

The $5.8 billion operating budget will take effect on July 1.

The new budget deal includes property tax relief and lowers city wage taxes on both residents and commuters.
