Philadelphia Chamber Music Society Presents Susanna Phillips And Eric Owens

By R.J. McKay

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Miles Cohen, the artistic director for the Philadelphia Chamber Music Society, shared some details on the Susanna Phillips – Eric Owens concert on January 9th.

"You have two outstanding opera world singers who are going to take a break from their booming careers, and they are going to come to Philadelphia. And in Eric Owens' case, return to where he was born and raised, and they are going to give a recital of what is probably the quintessential vocal art song repertoire in a program dedicated to Franz Schubert," Cohen explains.

And there will be some special guests, too.

"Jennifer Montone, of the Philadelphia Orchestra, and Ricardo Morales, of the Philadelphia Orchestra. I asked those two great artists if they would be willing to join us," Cohen says. "They said yes, and Susanna Phillips and Eric Owens were really pleased."
