Philadelphia-Area Girl Scouts Present Leadership Award to Billie Jean King

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Tennis legend Billie Jean King dropped by the Comcast Center, in center city Philadelphia, today to receive an award from the Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania.
King (far right in photo) is a trailblazer, an activist, and one heck of a tennis player. After receiving the second-ever Girl Scouts Centennial Award, she encouraged the young ladies in the room to find their own voice.
"Step up and be a leader. Solve problems. Have great relationships, and also keep learning and keep learning how to learn," she told them.
Natalye Paquin, CEO of the Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania, said King's leadership is an inspiration.
"She's a tremendous role model. She exemplifies the Girl Scouts' mission, which is to build girls of courage, confidence, and character who go out and make the world a better place."
King is keeping busy as her Philadelphia Freedoms tennis team prepares for the start of the 2015 season.
