Phila. Fire Department Celebrates Arrival Of Newest Member

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Philadelphia Fire Department celebrated the arrival of a new fire truck in West Philadelphia on Wednesday.

Engine 68 held a housing ceremony for a Spartan ERV pumper.

During the event, members of the fire department took part in a ceremonial "pushing in" of the new apparatus.

The ceremony included remarks from Fire Commissioner Thiel along with a blessing of the new apparatus and its members.

The Philadelphia Police department was also on hand to mark the special occasion.
