Pet Food Pantry Set To Launch In Camden County

By John McDevitt

CAMDEN, NJ. (CBS) -- A community pet food assistance program will launch next month in Camden County, New Jersey.

The Camden County Pet Food Pantry will open in four locations the second Saturday of every month, starting April 11.

"The ultimate goal is to keep pets with their families, says Maya Richmond, executive director of the Animal Welfare Association in Vorhees. "We know that people have been stretching their dollars. I mean a lot of families have to make a decision where to place their money every month and feeding pets has become a challenge for some families."
