Person Struck, Killed By Amtrak Train In Delco

GLENOLDEN, Pa. (CBS) - Officials say a person is dead after they were struck by an Amtrak train Wednesday night in Glenolden, Delaware County.

This happened around 11 p.m. near East Glenolden Avenue and Willow Way.

Amtrak officials say a train traveling from Washington, D.C. to New York came in contact with the victim on the tracks. Their identity has not yet been released.

There were no injuries to any passenger or crew members, according to officials.

The Wilmington/Newark line was delayed after the incident, but normal service has been restored.

The incident is under investigation.
