Person Struck, Killed By Train In Bucks County

BRISTOL, Pa. (CBS) -- A person died after they were struck by a train in Bucks County Tuesday morning.

The incident happened shortly after 9 a.m. on the inbound tracks of SEPTA's Trenton Line near the Bristol station.

According to SEPTA officials, an unidentified person was struck and killed by a SEPTA train.

It was not immediately clear why the individual was on the tracks.

As a result of the incident and an investigation, inbound service to Philadelphia on SEPTA's Trenton Line was temporarily suspended, but it has since resumed.

The incident remains under investigation.
