Person Followed Out Of Bar, Shot In Philadelphia, Police Say

PHILADELPHIA (CBS)--Philadelphia police are searching for two men involved in a shooting in the city's Overbrook section Sunday night.

The victim was shot in the hip.

Around 11:15 p.m., officers responded to the 1200 block of Atwood Road, where they found the 21-year-old victim with a gunshot wound.

The victim told investigators they were in a bar at 66th and Lansdowne Avenue. When they went to leave the bar, two men followed the victim out.

About two blocks away at the intersection of 66th and Malvern Avenue, Chief Inspector Scott Small said one of the men opened fire, hitting the victim.

"Based on ballistic evidence, we know at least five shots were fired from a small caliber, semiautomatic weapon," Small said. "We don't have a motive for the shooting at this time."

The victim was taken to Lankenau Hospital, where they are in stable condition.

The victim described the shooter as a male, about 5-foot-6, medium build with tattoos on his face.

Investigators are hoping surveillance cameras near the crime scene will help them ID the two suspects.
