Pennsylvania Turnpike tolls increasing by 5% next year

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- It's going to cost you more money to travel on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. If it feels like you pay more money every year to travel the toll road, you're right.
The Turnpike Commission says those yearly hikes will continue through the year 2050. A 5% toll hike will take effect on Jan. 8, 2023.
The increase includes both E-ZPass and toll-by-plate customers.
The Turnpike Commission says the yearly hikes are needed to meet its financial obligations.
