Pennsylvania Supreme Court Candidates Selected

HARRISBURG, Pa., (CBS) -- The brother of Philadelphia union leader John Dougherty was one of the winners in Tuesday's state Supreme Court primary contest.
Three state Supreme Court seats are open, and three nominees were chosen from a field of six in each party. Philadelphia Common Pleas Court Judge Kevin Dougherty was far and away the top vote-getter in his home county. He'll be joined on the November ballot by fellow Democrats David Wecht and Christine Donohue, both sitting Superior Court judges.
On the Republican side, the lone Supreme Court incumbent, Correale Stevens, failed to win a nomination. The Republicans who did were Superior Court Judge Judith Olson, Commonwealth Court Judge Anne Covey, and Adams County Judge Michael George.
