Pennsylvania SPCA Celebrating National Dog Day With Adoption Discounts
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Friday, August 26 is National Dog Day and the Pennsylvania SPCA is also hoping it's a day you decide to take home one of their four-legged friends.
To encourage adoptions, the shelter is offering $50 discount on all dog adoptions, with select dogs available for just $1.
The promotion will be available at PSPCA headquarters on East Erie Avenue as well as the organization's Fishtown and Danville Centers from 1 until 8 p.m. on Friday.
Organizers of the event say the discounts are made possible in part because of a $5000 grant from the Petco Foundation to help animals find their fur-ever homes through the PSPCA.
