Pennsylvania Couple Killed When 1923 Model T Ford Convertible Skids, Flips

MANHEIM, Pa. (AP) -- A married couple are dead after police say their 1923 Model T Ford convertible skidded off the roadway and flipped over in Pennsylvania.

Manheim Borough Police said 70-year-old Ralph Cramer and 59-year-old Lynn Cramer died in the wreck that occurred at about 9 p.m. Sunday.

Police Chief Joseph Stauffer says the vehicle had been rebuilt or restored, with new elements.

He says both died of traumatic injuries sustained during the crash.

The Model T had seatbelts, but it's unclear if they were worn. The top was down when the wreck occurred.

Stauffer says there's evidence the vehicle started to skid at a slight left turn, then went off the road and hit an embankment near a barn. The Model T went airborne and flipped over.
