Penn Drops Ivy League Clash To Brown 75-69

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — JR Hobbie had 21 points with six 3-pointers, Rafael Maia had 15 points and 10 boards and Brown gave Pennsylvania its sixth straight loss 75-69 on Friday.

Tavon Blackmon had 16 points and Cedric Kuakumensah added 13 for the Bears (13-15, 4-7 Ivy), who earned their second consecutive season sweep of Penn (7-17, 2-8).

Brown opened with a 9-0 lead and never trailed on its way to a 41-24 lead at halftime. Hobbie was 6 of 9 from the arc and the Bears were 9 of 16.

The Quakers rallied to within four points with 48 seconds left at 71-67 but would get no closer as Kuakumensah pushed the Bears lead back to six with a pair of free throws.

Tony Hicks led Penn with 23 points. Antonio Woods scored 15 and Sam Jones added 13.
