Penn Buried By Columbia's 15 3-Pointers, Loses 83-56

NEW YORK (AP) — Maodo Lo scored 16 points and Columbia poured in 15 3-pointers in beating Penn 83-56 on Saturday night.

Kyle Castlin scored 13 points, Cory Osetkowski 11 and Chris McComber 10 points for the Lions (11-9, 3-3). The Lions were one short of their season high with the 15 3-pointers that came on 26 attempts, though their long-range percentage of 57.7 was a season best. Seven different Lions hit from beyond the arc.

Penn's Sam Jones led all the 3-point shooters, making 7 of 12 attempts en route to 23 points, but the Quakers (7-12, 2-3) shot just 32.5 percent overall to Columbia's 55.3 percent.

The Lions made 10 of their 3-pointers in the first half when they took a 46-19 lead. They led by as many as 33 points in the second half.

The margin of victory was the largest for Columbia in Ivy League play since a 36-point win over Dartmouth on Jan. 30, 2004.
