Pedestrian Struck Twice On Roosevelt Boulevard

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --  Police are investigating an accident where a pedestrian was struck twice on Roosevelt Boulevard at around 8:15 Monday night.  It happened in the Mayfair section of Philadelphia. Police say the victim, an unidentified black male, was running in the southbound lanes of the boulevard near Harbison Avenue. Officials say the male, who was partially dressed, then tried to cross the boulevard when he was hit by a 2003 silver Chevy Tahoe. The impact landed the victim in the inner lanes, where he was struck by a second vehicle, described by authorities as a 2009 Silver Volkswagen.  Police say both vehicles had Pennsylvania license plates.  The victim was transported to Frankford-Torresdale Hospital, though his condition is not known at this time.  All southbound lanes are closed police begin their investigation.
