Pedestrian Struck And Killed By Two SUVs In Bridgeport Hit-And-Run

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. (CBS) -- Police are asking for the public's help in finding the drivers of two vehicles that struck and killed a pedestrian in Bridgeport, Montgomery County.

It happened around 11:30 p.m. Friday near the intersection of East Rambo Street and Ford Street.

Police say the man was walking westbound on Rambo Street attempting to cross Ford Street when he was struck first by a black, late 90's Ford Explorer. They say the driver initially stopped at the scene and then fled north on Ford Street.

Investigators say the vehicle sustained damage to the passenger side front headlight area.

Following the initial collision, authorities say a second vehicle, possibly a dark green Cadillac or Lincoln SUV, also struck the victim and left the scene. The second vehicle displayed a white vinyl decal of a family in stick figures on the rear windshield.

The victim was rushed to Einstein Medical Center Montgomery where he was pronounced dead. His identity was being withheld pending notification of family.

The crash remains under investigation.
