Police ID Pedestrian Struck And Killed While Crossing Road In Bensalem

BENSALEM, Pa. (CBS) -- Authorities say a pedestrian was struck and killed by a pickup truck while crossing a busy roadway in Bensalem, Bucks County.

The accident happened around 5 a.m. Wednesday at Route 1 just south of Old Lincoln Highway.

Police say a 2003 Chevy pick-up truck was traveling south on Route 1 when it struck 51-year-old Maria Feher, who was crossing the street.

Feher died at the scene.

The driver of the pickup truck did stop and was cooperating with police.

Just before 11 a.m., all lanes of traffic along Route 1 have been reopened.

An investigation is ongoing.
