PAL To Honor CBS Radio's Marc Rayfield

By Mike DeNardo

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The Police Athletic League tonight bestows its highest honor to three prominent Philadelphians -- including CBS Radio Senior VP and Philadelphia market manager Marc Rayfield.

Growing up as a poor kid in the Northeast, Rayfield says it was the programs at the Parkwood Youth Organization that helped to keep him out of trouble.

So, he says, he has an appreciation for the education and life skills that PAL rec centers provide to disadvantaged kids:

"The Police Athletic League is an organization that is closer to my heart than anything else that I'm involved in -- and I am involved on many boards in the city, but this is the one that means the most to me. Because I kind of grew up a PAL kid."

Rayfield will receive the 2015 PAL Award at tonight's fundraiser at the Sheraton at 17th and Race, along with Wendy Hamilton of SugarHouse Casino and Michael Innocenzo of PECO.
