PAFA: 'Artist's Garden'

By RJ McKay

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Anna Marley, Curator of Historical American Art at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, explained what visitors can expect to see at the Artist's Garden, going on now through May 24th.

"When you come visit this exhibition in our beautiful, jewel-like 19th century building, you'll see over 90 works of art from sculptors, painters, people working in stain glass, on paper, and you'll see living gardens of plants as well, all in our beautiful skylight galleries," Marley said.

She also discussed the idea behind the Artist's Garden exhibit:

"So I started getting interested in architecture and gardens and suburban development, and the connections between that and American Impressionism."
