Serious Crash Shuts Down Stretch Of PA Turnpike, 1 Critically Injured

TREDYFFRIN Twp., Pa. (CBS) -- A serious crash shutdown a stretch of the westbound lanes of the PA Turnpike on Thursday.

The accident took place in Chester County.

Chopper 3 was live over the scene in Tredyffrin Township. Police say one person was critically injured in the crash between the Valley Forge and Downingtown exits around 12:45 p.m.

Eyewitness News has learned that the westbound lanes will be closed until at least 8:00 p.m. pm on Thursday night.
