Pa. Supreme Court Justice Offers Apology For Content Of Emails Released By AG Kathleen Kane

NORRISTOWN, Pa. (CBS) -- A Pennsylvania Supreme Court justice, who is the most recent to be caught up in the web of pornographic emails released by embattled attorney general Kathleen Kane, is issuing an apology for the content of those emails.
Sixty-six-year-old J. Michael Eakin says in a statement quote: "It is disconcerting and embarrassing to find others searching years of private personal emails looking for and publicizing any insensitive content."
In his apology, he goes on to say he is not offering this as an excuse, and will cooperate fully with the reviews from the Court and the Judicial Conduct Board. But he says the emails don't reflect his character or beliefs and have never been part of his consideration of Court business.
Eakin had been cleared in reviews by the court and the board last year, but recently, Attorney General Kathleen Kane sent copies of emails from Eakin's private account, emails both the board and the court say they weren't given access to in their previous reviews.
On Monday, the state supreme court issued a statement saying its members were quote "disturbed by the content of the emails, as reported by the media."
