Pa. Senate Vote On Kane Removal Expected Today

A two-thirds vote of the Senate would be required to remove Kathleen Kane as attorney general, and even though Republicans hold a huge majority in the chamber, several Democratic votes would be required. Costa said, however, that Senate Democratic lawyers have told him that Governor Wolf would be compelled to remove Kane from office if the Senate puts up the necessary two-thirds vote to do so. When asked to comment about that, Wolf's spokesman Tuesday would only say that the governor will review the Senate's decision.
