Pa. Residents To Pay More For iTunes, eBooks & More

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The next time you add a new app to your phone, or a song to your collection, the download may cost you a little bit more.
Starting Monday, Pennsylvania's six percent sales tax will also apply to digital downloads. That means that people who download music, movies, eBooks and apps, will have to pay more when they do from services like iTunes and Google Play.
The tax will also impact subscription services like Netflix and Hulu.
Officials say the digital downloads tax will bring in $47 million a year.
