Pa. Rapper Who Allegedly Bragged About Drugs Now Jailed For Them

LANCASTER, Pa. (AP) — A prosecutor says a Pennsylvania man whose rap music "glorified drug dealing and gun violence" has now been jailed on crack cocaine charges after a raid on his home earlier this month.

The Lancaster County district attorney's office on Wednesday announced that 36-year-old Angel Pereira Jr. has been charged with making and possessing about $12,000 worth of crack cocaine seized during a raid of his Lancaster home on May 1.

The suspect performs under the names "Giggles" and "GI, The General."

A news release from the DA's drug task forces says the suspect's videos, including "100 Rounds" and "Hood Life," deal with the kinds of behavior with which he's now charged.

Pereira's public defender couldn't immediately be reached for comment Thursday. He's due in court for a preliminary hearing Friday.
