Pa. Police Investigate Death Of 1-Year-Old Child

ASHLAND, Pa. (AP) — State troopers say they are investigating the death of a 1-year-old girl at a home in eastern Pennsylvania.

Police say they were called to the house in Ashland Borough around 10 p.m. Saturday.

A police spokesman said Sunday that no other details will be released until autopsy results are available. Trooper David Beohm says he's not sure when that will be.

Local law enforcement officers and representatives of Schuylkill County Children and Youth are helping with the probe.

Ashland is about 85 miles northwest of Philadelphia.
