Pa. Man Guilty Of Sexually Assaulting Overdose Victim Who Died

INDIANA, Pa. (AP) — A Pennsylvania man has pleaded guilty to having sex with a drug overdose victim who was unconscious and later died.

Thirty-nine-year-old Leonard McIntire, of Black Lick, will be sentenced by an Indiana County judge on May 23.

State police charged McIntire after getting an anonymous tip that McIntire told people about having sex with the 49-year-old woman shortly before she was found dead Sept. 1.

Police say McIntire acknowledged having sex with the woman and says he believed she was still alive because she was snoring. The woman had overdosed on prescription drugs.

Other witnesses at the camping trailer where the incident occurred said the woman was never conscious and able to consent to sex.

McIntire pleaded guilty to indecent assault without consent of the victim on Friday.
