Dump Truck Overturns In 2-Vehicle Crash In Delaware

NEWARK, Del. (CBS) – Delaware State Police say they are investigating a crash involving a dump truck.

Authorities say the accident occurred just before 7 a.m. Monday morning on I-95 southbound near Churchmans Road SR 58 right before exit 4A.

Police say the dump truck carrying asphalt overturned after being sideswiped by another driving who was changing lanes.

Police say the driver of the dump truck was taken to Christiana Hospital Trauma Center for non-life threatening injuries.

The other driver, identified by police as Luis C. Aucay-Lluisupa, was not injured. Authorities say he was cited by troopers with failure to remain within a single lane of travel and no valid operator's license.

Police say I-95 southbound was partially closed for about 3 and a half hours.
