Overnight Weather Leaves Delaware Roads Mostly Wet; Snow Expected Later Tuesday
DOVER, Del. (CBS) -- A winter storm that was expected to drop snow on Delaware overnight turned out to be mostly rain, leaving wet or slushy roads in most areas as the morning commute got underway on Tuesday.
However, DelDOT's crews are actively working to monitor roads and continuing to treat surfaces that could become icy with snow is still forecast for later in the day and evening. Accumulations of up to four inches are possible.

As of Tuesday morning, the storm had left its biggest impact on central Delaware where snow was reportedly falling in some locations. Officials are cautioning drivers to be aware of slick spots on elevated surfaces such as ramps and bridges that could be slippery since they are usually the first areas to freeze when temperatures drop.
Officials are warning drivers to exercise caution and to be aware that visibility and road conditions could deteriorate further as the day wears on.
