Overnight Storm Leaves Thousands Across Philadelphia Region Without Power

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A fast-moving thunderstorm took down trees and power lines overnight leaving thousands across the region in the dark.

Heavy winds didn't help, as of 2:30 pm Sunday, still thousands are without power.

In Pennsylvania, PECO is reporting about 5,000 outages in Bucks County, which was the hardest hit by far earlier in the day. There are also 4,000 in Chester County, 2,500 in Montgomery County and 6,000 still in Delaware County.

Across the river, Atlantic City Electric is reporting about 6,000 outages. PSEG is reporting about 4,000 outages in South Jersey.
