By David Spunt

DOWNINGTOWN, Pa. (CBS) - Downingtown native Dora Cumens celebrated a special Christmas with family on Thursday.

Cumens, who turns 106 years old in February, talked with Eyewitness News about being able celebrating Christmas for over a century:

"I love Christmas, because I like the presents and we all have lots of fun getting ready for dinner," she said.

Cumens, who was born on February 26, 1909, says Christmas is her favorite holiday.

"She loves Christmas and she loves to sing," adds her daughter, Shirley Woodward.

Cumens recently moved to a senior living center in Exton, but she lived with family members for years.

"We're learning a lot from her past now. She's starting to tell us stuff when she grew up," granddaughter Darlene Wolf told Eyewitness News.

Cumens says she's ready for Christmas next year, and she'll be here to celebrate the holiday:

"Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!"
