One-Year-Old Baby Thrown From Bridge In Allentown Dies

Allentown, Pa. (CBS) -- The one-year-old baby boy that was allegedly thrown into the Lehigh river by his own mother in Allentown passed away Saturday.

Authorities say Zymeir Perry died at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest and was pronounced dead at 11:51 a.m.

An autopsy is scheduled Monday to determine the exact cause of death.

The incident occurred around 1:40 p.m., Sunday May 3rd, when he was thrown off the Hamilton Street Bridge.

Authorities say the 19 year-old mother has been charged with attempted homicide, assault and endanger welfare of a child.
