One Person Injured In Shooting Involving Off-Duty Police Officer

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- One person was shot Monday night when an off-duty police officer's weapon was discharged.
Authorities report an off-duty weapon was discharged twice during an altercation between the officer and a family member inside the officer's home around 6:30 p.m.
Crews arrived at the residence on the 2700 block of Taunton Street to find a man shot once in the torso.
The man was taken to the hospital in critical condition and is now stable.
The off-duty officer was taken to internal affairs to be interviewed.
