One-Night Closure Of Aramingo Avenue Near I-95 Moved Up Due To Storm Threat

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The one-night closure of Aramingo Avenue between Girard Avenue and Delaware Avenue in Philadelphia for overhead bridge work has been moved up one night, PennDOT announced on Tuesday.

The road closure will occur from 10 p.m. Thursday, October 6, to 5 a.m. Friday, October 7.

The bridge work was originally scheduled to run Friday night into Saturday morning, but with the threat of inclement weather from Hurricane Matthew, PennDOT decided bump up the operation by one day.

Crews will be installing beams for the new I-95 north viaduct that is under construction between Ann Street and Palmer Street.

The operation is part of several projects associated with I-95 construction through the city.

PennDOT is advising drivers to allow extra time for travel through the work zones.
