Officials To Announce Tomorrow Whether CJC Will Reopen On Monday

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Court officials will announce Sunday whether Philadelphia's Criminal Justice Center will reopen for business as usual on Monday.

It has been closed for court proceedings since Thursday, when a couple of people were injured in an elevator accident.

A statement from the mayor's office says workers will continue testing the elevators this weekend.

An independent, state-certified inspector last inspected the elevators in mid-June.

Preliminary arraignments, emergency protection from abuse services, and bail acceptance operations will still be accessible in the building's basement throughout the weekend.
