Small Plane Goes Off Runway, Crashes Into Fence At Airport In Allentown

ALLENTOWN, Pa. (CBS) -- Officials say engine trouble forced a pilot of a small plane to land beyond the runway and hit a fence at Queen City Airport Monday afternoon.

The incident happened at about 1 p.m. at the airport, which is located in Allentown.

According to the FAA, a Mooney M20 aircraft was attempting to depart when it veered off Runway 7 and struck a fence.

Authorities say no one was injured.

The incident remains under investigation by the FAA.
