Officials: Shooting Victim Driven To Gas Station In Montgomery County By Female Trying To Get Help

PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP, Pa. (CBS) -- A murder investigation is underway in Norristown, Montgomery County.

Police say two men were firing at each other at Locust and Basin Streets and at least one man was hit Monday night.

Authorities say a woman put the victim in her car and drove him to a gas station on Ridge Pike in Plymouth Township and then flagged down a police car to get help.

Officers say the female also had a three-year-old child with her.

The unidentified man later died at the hospital. Officials say the woman and child were not injured.

No word on whether the suspect was injured and whether or not he is in custody.
