Officials: Delaware Man Charged In The Death Of His Wife

CHESWOLD, Del. (CBS) – Officials say a Kent County Grand Jury has indicted Cortez Hamilton, 32, on first degree murder charges in the death of his wife, Keisha Hamilton, who police say has been missing since January 10.

Authorities say Cortez Hamilton was arrested in Indiana on January 10 on charges of assault, possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child

Officials say he was extradited back to Delaware on January 22 and sent to the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on a $402,000 cash bond.

Hamilton was indicted on the new charges following an investigation by Delaware State Police.

His wife, police say, is still missing, but prosecutors believe there is sufficient evidence to bring the murder charge.
