Officials: Crowd Smashes Police Cruiser Windshield, Loots Gas Station In North Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A Philadelphia police cruiser near North Broad and West Clearfield Streets was smashed by a large crowd of people. Investigators say the crowd also looted a gas station on that corner.
Police estimate that 300 people were involved.
So far, no word on any injuries.
Officers were able to get control of the crowd shortly after 12:30 Sunday morning.
