Officials Arrest Montco Woman For Death Of 96-Year-Old Neighbor

EAST NORRITON TWP, Pa (CBS) – On Friday, the Montgomery County DA announced the arrest of a woman for the death of her 96-year-old neighbor.

Elisabeth Anna Floyd has been charged with third degree murder and other related charges stemming from the death of Alfred Payne.

Officials say Payne was found lying on the driveway of his home on the 500 block of Marion Avenue with visible injuries, caused by Floyd who he reportedly had never met.

The incident happened on the morning of September 21, 2015.

The elderly man was hospitalized due to his injuries, and later died in a long-term care facility on February, 19.

His death was ruled a homicide.

Floyd is currently being held without bail. A preliminary hearing is set to be held on July 13th.

Authorities have not disclosed a possible motive for the attack.
