Officials: 2 Dogs And Cat Die In Gloucester County Blaze Despite CPR Efforts By Firefighters

DEPTFORD, N.J. (CBS) -- A fire in the basement of a home in Gloucester County claimed the lives of two dogs and a cat.

Firefighters responded to the scene of the blaze on Burke Avenue in Deptford late Thursday morning.

Officials say crews performed CPR on the dogs and the cat, but unfortunately they all died.

Crews were able to rescue a snake, guinea pig and rabbit.

No residents were injured in the blaze.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
