Officers Take Children Shopping For Holiday Gifts For Their Families

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Some local young people are getting help with their Christmas shopping.

They can thank our men and women in blue.

Eyewitness News was at the Heroes and Helpers event held at the Port Richmond Target.

24th Police District officers took the kids through the store so they could buy holiday gifts for their families.

The program helps build relationships between public safety officials and young people in Philadelphia's neighborhoods.
