Officer Struck By Woman In Stolen Car

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia police say a woman intentionally struck an officer after stealing a car and hitting several others on the block.

It happened Saturday night around 7 p.m., near Clearfield and Custer Streets in Kensington.

Authorities say the 34-year-old hit several cars before striking the cop.

She was eventually taken to the hospital to be checked out and is in police custody.

The officer also went to the hospital, was treated and released. The investigation is on-going.
