Offices Being Replaced By Shopping In Evesham

EVESHAM, NJ (CBS) -- An office park along route 73 in Burlington County is making way for upscale shopping.

Greentree Commons is coming down.

"The buildings are old," Peter Lazaropoulos, principal partner in Lazgor Development, told KYW Newsradio. "They're over 35 years old. They were not of great construction to begin with and it was time to replace them with something better and more exciting."

Enter The View at Marlton, a $30 million project with 95 thousand square feet of high end retail space, including a separate fitness center, restaurants, stores, a bank and a AAA club office.

Most of the office complex is already torn down and plans are to begin pouring concrete in April, with hopes to open the new facilities by the end of the year.

Lazgor is getting a 5 year tax abatement plan from Evesham Township which it'll use to help new tenants get their businesses up and running.
