Nutrisystem Recalls Cookie Dough Bars Over Listeria Concerns
FORT WASHINGTON, Pa. (CBS) -- Nutrisystem, Inc. is voluntarily recalling one of its Nutricrush bars sold in retail stores and online because they contain chocolate chip cookie dough pieces that may be contaminated with Listeria.
The recall covers the Nutricrush Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bar, manufactured by Noble Foods, Inc for Nutrisystem, according to a release posted on the Food and Drug Administration's website.
The product had very limited distribution to ShopRite and Hannaford stores across a dozen states, including Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware, and online through Amazon.com and Walmart.com. No Nutrisystem 'direct to consumer' product is impacted in any way.

The bar was sold as a 5-count carton and can be identified by the UPC 6 32674 85579 4, Enjoy by Aug 22 2017 and Lot Code NF082216A. All code information is found on the back panel of the carton, according to the recall notice.
The recall notice also advises consumers to discard the bars or return them to the ShopRite or Hannaford stores from where they were purchased for a full refund. Twenty-four customers of Amazon.com and Walmart.com have already been identified, instructed to discard the product, and will be issued a refund.
No illnesses have been reported.
