Winning Numbers Drawn In $564 Million Powerball Jackpot
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The winning numbers for Wednesday's estimated $564.1 million Powerball jackpot have been drawn.
The winning numbers are 11-13-25-39-54. The Powerball is 19.
Powerballmania is sweeping the Tri-State. From New Jersey to Pennsylvania everyone is looking for their good luck charm.
"We always pick this one because I win a lot of scratch-offs here," said Vince Ormsby.
This South Philadelphia beer distributor that sold a winning $131 million jackpot over a year ago did near record sales selling more than a thousand tickets Wednesday.
"I just come and get the Quick Picks but I decided I might as well put a little extra touch on it this time," said Ed Washington.
Ed Washington only plays once in a while, but with college tuitions to pay for this time he's going all in.
"It always seems to be that person that plays only once a while so hopefully I'll be that guy that only plays once in a while that wins," he said.
At this Cherry Hill 7-Eleven lines have been long. There was a late night push just before sales stopped. In Pennsylvania tickets are selling at 4,500 per minute and group sales have been big.
All helping to bolster Wednesday's jackpot to half a billion dollars.
"I got a couple Powerballs, and I got Mega Millions, Pick 6, and Cash 5," said Ormsby.
The odds may be long, but everybody's hoping that their ticket is the winner.
"Is there a chance? Yes, very slim, but why not. It's a chance."
But a reminder from lottery officials, your chance of taking all of that money home is 1 in 175 million.
