Multi-Vehicle Accident Shuts Down Northbound Lanes On Northeast Extension For Several Hours

MILFORD TOWNSHIP, Pa. (CBS) -- A multi-vehicle accident on the Northeast Extension in Bucks County blocked the northbound lanes for several hours on Wednesday.

Pennsylvania Turnpike Police say first responders were dispatched for the multi-vehicle accident on I-476 by Mile Marker 41 in Milford Township around 10:20 a.m.

At least two tractor-trailers and two box trucks were involved in the accident.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike was closed northbound between the Lansdale Interchange in Montgomery County and the Quakertown Interchange in Bucks County for about four hours.

Five people were injured in the crash.

There is no word on what caused the crash.
