Police: Man Critically Injured After Being Shot Multiple Times In North Philly

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A man is critically injured after being shot multiple times in North Philadelphia on Friday afternoon.

The shooting happened at 6th and Butler Streets shortly after 12:15 p.m.

Philadelphia Police said a 31-year-old Hispanic man was shot three times – once in the left cheek, neck and left shoulder.

The victim was transported to Temple University Hospital by a private vehicle.

He is currently in critical condition.

The shooting caused McClure Elementary School on 600 West Hunting Park to be locked down from 2:12 p.m. until 2:17 p.m.

No arrests have been made.
