North Carolina Road Sign Predicts Super Bowl Outcome?

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia Eagles fans who plan on wagering on the Super Bowl should consider picking the Carolina Panthers...if they believe in signs.

Drivers in North Carolina say a pair of local road signs have already predicted the outcome of Super Bowl 50 between the Panthers and Denver Broncos. Motorists have been stopping on the side of the road to snap a photo of two mileage signs, one that reads: Denver: 7, Newton 20 -- and another that says Denver 12, Newton 25.

Now, of course, the signs actually indicate to drivers the number of miles to the towns of Denver and Newton, North Carolina. But Panthers fans say it's a "sign" that their star quarterback, Cam Newton, will emerge victorious Sunday night against the Broncos.

Some Panthers fans are calling it a prediction of the future and others are calling it a funny coincidence. One Panthers fan posted a picture of the sign on his Facebook page, and said it now has more than 37,000 "likes." It's probably a safe bet that few, if any of those "likes," came from Broncos fans.
