Norma's Eastern Mediterranean Cuisine Partners With Philabundance To Give Afghan Evacuees A 'Taste Of Home'

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A South Jersey restaurant partnered with Philabundance to give a "taste of home" to Afghan evacuees. Norma's Eastern Mediterranean Cuisine in Cherry Hill helped make meals Monday in North Philadelphia at the Philabundance community kitchen.

Norma's needed the space so it could serve both evacuees and its own diners.

The kitchen followed Islamic religious guidelines as they prepared the food.

Through this partnership, nearly 10,000 meals have been made for Afghan evacuees.
